Mt Hood, OR
Year Round
Mt Hood is the dominate feature of the entire Portland metro area. It towers over everything in the region at over 11,000 ft and remains snow covered year round. The area around Mt Hood offers plenty of opportunities for photographers - the mountain itself, waterfalls, rivers, mountain lakes, and wildflower meadows in the spring. In the summer months the Milky Way becomes a viable subject. When you choose to go will dictate what the best photo opportunities are.
