Redwoods of Northern California
April - November

For this workshop, we will base out of either Brookings, Oregon or further south in Crescent City, California. Although we can do this workshop year round, the shoulder seasons work best for conditions and crowds. Summer months will make parking and lodging difficult as the local towns are small.

Winter months bring much wetter conditions to the coast but few people. The odds of getting a lot of rain for a week at a time are high. Spring and summer give way to milder temps and better weather, but summer months bring lots of crowds. Fall is also a great time to visit - while there isn't a ton of fall color due to the majority of the trees being evergreens, the temps are mild and weather good, plus less crowds.
