“The Fall Workshop in Leavenworth, Washington was a perfect place to capture the fall colors as well as the quaint town during Octoberfest.  James’s level of enthusiasm and desire to teach is truly infectious.  He makes you excited to get up early to catch a sunrise or stay late to catch the best light for a sunset.  He keeps his groups small so he can provide each participant individual assistance with camera settings and composition.  In between photo sessions, James schedules time for post processing instruction with Lightroom and Photoshop.  James always wants to be sure that you get the very most out of his workshops. “This was my second workshop with James in 2022. I loved them both. There is always so much to learn. We shoot sunrises and sunsets and work on post processing midday when the sun is harsh. My takeaways are some print worthy photographs and the desire to return for another workshop! If you’ve never attended one; I highly suggest that you do. I was one of the members of a tour he led to Hawaii in February, (how great is that!), and couldn’t be happier with the entire experience! James was clear on the intent of the shoot, (morning sunrise, surfer action, Volcano National Park, waterfalls, etc.), and James was so comfortable with each location! He had great pointers for getting more detail in your shot without losing focus.
